BLAST

Terms of Use

Blast. Last updated 27 September 2026.

These terms are the agreement between you and the developer of Blast. By using Blast, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Blast.

Who we are

Blast is made by an independent developer based in the United Arab Emirates. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that developer, and "you" means the person using Blast.

Who can use Blast

You must be at least 13 years old to use Blast. If you are under 18, you need the permission of a parent or guardian. You need an Apple Account signed in to iCloud, and you are responsible for keeping that account secure.

Blast does not store your data

Blast is not in charge of storing any of your data. Everything you save and everything you send is stored in iCloud, under your Apple Account and the Apple Accounts of the people you send it to. Apple provides that storage under its own terms, not ours. We do not run a server that keeps a copy of your content, and we cannot read your conversations.

Because of this, we cannot back up your data and we cannot restore it. Content can be lost if you or someone in a conversation deletes it, if your iCloud storage is full, if iCloud is turned off for Blast, if you sign out of your Apple Account, if you delete your account, or if Apple's service has a problem. Link previews, GIFs and stickers load from the websites and services that host them, and they can disappear if those sites remove them.

Blast is not a backup service. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss of, or damage to, your data or content.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users

There is no tolerance on Blast for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not use Blast to send, save or share:

You must not impersonate anyone, create accounts to get around a block or a ban, or try to break, overload or reverse engineer Blast.

How we moderate

Breaking these terms

If you break these terms, we will block your account from Blast immediately. We may do this without warning. A banned account can no longer use Blast: it cannot send, connect with anyone or be found, and its username is removed. We may also report illegal content to the authorities.

Your content

You own what you send and save. Because it stays in iCloud and never on a server of ours, we do not take any licence to it. You are responsible for what you send, and you confirm that you have the right to send it.

You agree to cover us against any claim, loss or cost, including reasonable legal fees, that comes from content you send or from you breaking these terms.

Services from other companies

Blast relies on Apple for storage (iCloud), sign in, notifications and payments. GIF and sticker search comes from KLIPY, and link previews come from the websites you save. Those services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for them, for their availability, or for the websites you save or open.

Blast+ subscriptions

Blast+ is sold by Apple through the App Store. It renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. Payments and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deleting it removes your library, your bundles, your conversations and messages, and your username from iCloud and from your device. It happens at once and cannot be undone. We do not keep a copy, so we cannot get anything back once it is deleted.

No warranty

You use Blast at your own risk. Blast is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise that Blast will always be available, that it will be free of errors, or that content will be delivered, kept or synced.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, content, profits or goodwill, that comes from using or not being able to use Blast. Our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the greater of 50 US dollars or the amount you paid for Blast+ in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.

Changes and ending

We may change Blast, or stop offering it, at any time. We may change these terms. When a change matters, we will update the date at the top and, where it is significant, say so in the app. Continuing to use Blast after a change means you accept the new terms.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and disputes will be settled by the courts of the United Arab Emirates, unless the law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring a claim there. Where the law allows, any claim about Blast must be brought within one year of when it arose.

Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Blast or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. If Blast fails to meet any warranty that applies, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. Apart from that, Apple has no warranty obligation for Blast. We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claim about Blast, including product liability claims, claims that Blast breaks a legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection claims, and claims that Blast infringes someone's intellectual property.

You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a United States government embargo, or listed as a terrorist supporting country, and that you are not on any United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must also follow any third party terms that apply when you use Blast. Apple and its subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these terms, and Apple may enforce them against you.

Reporting

To report a person or something they sent, use Report on their profile or on the message in the app.
