Here are answers to the questions people ask most about Blast. Settings is always one tap away: tap your picture or the Blast logo at the top left of the app.

Getting started

What do I need to use Blast?

You need an iPhone with iOS 18 or later, and an Apple Account signed in to iCloud. You sign in to Blast with Apple, and everything you save lives in your iCloud.

Do my friends need Blast too?

Yes. Blast is free on the App Store. Send them your invite link, or let them scan your Blast code, and you are connected once they accept.

Saving and sending

How do I save something?

In Safari, TikTok, Instagram or any other app, tap Share and pick Blast. The link is saved with its title and picture, and you can put it in a bundle straight away or later.

How do I put Blast first in the share sheet?

1. Tap Share in any app, then scroll the row of apps to the end and tap More.
2. Tap Edit, then add Blast to your favourites.
3. Blast now stays in the first row of the share sheet.

How do I send a bundle?

Open the bundle and tap Blast bundle. Pick friends or a group, and every item in the bundle goes to them at once. Saving never sends anything. Only tapping Blast does.

Friends and groups

How do I add a friend?

Go to People and tap Add person. You can search for their username, send them an invite link, or scan their Blast code with your camera.

Can people find me without my say?

Only by your username, and only if Let people find me by username is on in Settings. Turn it off and only people you invite can connect with you.

Can I hide when I am online?

Yes. Turn on Hide online status in Settings. Nobody sees when you were last online, and you do not see it for anyone else either.

Blast+

What does Blast+ add?

Blast+ lets you skin your folders and your profile pill with patterns, stickers and pictures, and shows how many of the items you sent your friends opened. It never shows who opened what. Saving, sending, groups and chats are free for everyone.

How do I cancel or change my subscription?

Apple handles the subscription. Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions and pick Blast.

I got a new iPhone. Where is my Blast+?

Sign in to Blast with the same Apple Account you subscribed with. Blast+ comes back on its own.

Your data

Where is my stuff stored?

In your own iCloud, under your Apple Account. We cannot read it, and we cannot back it up or restore it for you. If your iCloud storage is full, syncing stops until you free up space.

I deleted something by mistake. Can you get it back?

No. Blast does not keep a copy of your data, so anything deleted is gone.

Safety

How do I report someone?

Open their profile, or press and hold one of their messages, and tap Report. Choose a reason and tap Send. We review every report within 24 hours.

How do I block someone?

Open their profile and tap Block. They can no longer send you anything, and you stop getting notifications from them.

Deleting your account

Open Settings and tap Delete account. This deletes everything you have saved and sent, along with your username, and it cannot be undone.
